Dramatic holidays of 30 full days! Now, its time to get back to that boring business of going to college and do something related to studies. This was the feel inside me on the day of reopening.
But everything was surprising! New banners everywhere, traffic zones like front side, newly planted trees, aatu pulukkai grasses…something looked like the total atmosphere has changed. No. I was wrong. It was actually the appearances that were purely deceptive.
In long shot, I could see the MAN of our college with shiny heads and formal black and whites. His face totally spoiled my mood and adding to this irritation was the locked doors of the toilet. Ooooooo…..I ran to first floor and now…. sssss… appada…. all relieved.
By that time it was 9 and the classes started with our favorite OD granter. It was a good first day with friends after a long gap of 30 days. The highlights of the day were the seniors. Some were boasting about their placements but most of them went on in their humble way.
The first day’s highlight was the speech of our HOD. She also is ranked as the placement officer of our college. She went on with her friendly way of presenting responsible duties of us that are to be performed this semester. The session was friendlier than an official one. Thanks to Him who blessed us with such a wonderful guide and friend.
So, “Placement” is the word that is rocking. I could hear the word at least for 10 times a day. My friends have started preparing for the aptitude and other sections that are included in the CATegories of a MNCs interview. It’s good to see responsible youth amidst hopeless youth of the society. Of course, people are very responsible when it comes to them.
In contrast to this tempo, we have got an opportunity to go for a tour after 2 full years. And yes, the symposiums would start by august in our college and outside colleges too. So this semester in total would go in a perfect balance between entertainment and placements. Then what about studies??….ha ha. As usual, the last few days are there waiting for us with the new, untouched books.
