There are lots of posts in my archives stating my sadness mixed with anger about the way the world is moving. But this post is for the other side of the world which I’m witnessing for the past fortnight. I don’t know whether these things are happening by coincidence or just to make me realize the good ones also which prevail along with the heavy load of evil out in this world.
My father is suffering from blockage in three nerves of the heart and I was in need of five units of blood. I messaged everyone and I changed my profile display name in orkut also. One of my friends suggested me the website www.bharatbloodbank.com where I found many helping hearts and three volunteers came up to donate their blood. I would like to thank them from inside of my heart.
1. Mr. Suresh from porur: He called me back seeing my sms; got my fathers’ name and patient number and today He once again called me back stating He has donated blood. Just a message and what a man to help voluntarily for a person who he has not even seen once!! Great man!
2. Mr. M. Ravikumar from Anna nagar: He told me that he had donated blood exactly three months before and said He will donate after doctor’s consent. He has also donated today and added with his consoling words for my fathers’ recovery. The second god I met this fortnight!
3. Mr.Saravanan from Porur: The third person I got in touch through www.bharatbloodbank.com. He called me seeing my message and gave his approval to donate his blood and very caringly consoled me and wished for my fathers’ health.
4. Sheik and his father: Fourth unknown god along with his father donated blood for my fathers’ operation. I got this nice gentleman through one of my gifted friends in college, Kavin preethi (separate post on her later). This boy gave his warm words to comfort me and said he will pray god for my fathers’ quick recovery. What a gem of a character!!
5. Narain (my college friend): The first fellow to come up to donate blood for my father. But unfortunately, his grandmother is ill now and she is admitted in hospital. In spite of this situation he has promised that he will keep up his words. A friend in need!!
Tough times are the best times when all learn meaningful lessons in their life for their lives. This tough time for me has given me very good friends of different age groups and also made me realize the value of friendship. I usually think that nobody cares in this leisure less world for their fellow beings. But this time made me realize what I thought was wrong. There are very nice people around us and it is the time and situations which make them appear and disappear.
I have mentioned in my previous post about our godmother. We never saw her as our head of the department. Every time I see her I get some motivation, inspiration and she is such a lady that words cannot describe. She and my gifted group of friends made my last week a pleasant one and still I could see their love in helping me for my father’s operation.
I also have my exams arriving on 18th of this month. I really cannot concentrate in my studies with all these thoughts going on in my mind. Already I study with the intention to maintain my percentage of 75 and above and just no other greed of marks. But this time the situation is tougher and HE should help me to face my exams.
Hereafter, I won’t call any situation in my life as tough times. Because, with my gifted friends around me and valuable fellow beings no situation can be a tough one. The main and valuable earning in a persons’ life is to have a caring and true-loving group of members around him to help in need and to share ups and downs of life. In that way, I have earned a lot both in my school and college and also from outside and I would say I’m the richest person in this world. Even the real richest person would not feel as happy and confident as I feel now. Thanks a lot to all and especially to Him!!
